OSHAid FAQ
How do I create an OSHAid account?
Download OSHAid from the App Store or Google Play, tap "Create my account," and enter your email plus a secure password. The app then walks you through the company setup.
What info do I need to set up my company?
How do I add a custom hazard?
Tap + in the Risks tab, name the hazard, link it to a unit of work, set Severity, Probability, and Impact, and add a control measure. You can also attach photos taken on site.
What's the difference between Severity, Probability, and Impact?
Severity is how serious harm could be. Probability is how likely the exposure is to occur. Impact is the scope (one person vs. a whole crew). Together they drive the priority score for each hazard.
What if a hazard doesn't apply to me?
Mark it N/A (Not Applicable). The hazard stays on file as "considered and not applicable," which keeps your assessment focused, accurate, and audit-ready.
How often should I update my hazard assessment?
At minimum once a year (and post the OSHA Form 300A annually from Feb 1 – Apr 30). Also after any new equipment, new task, accident, near-miss, or OSHA citation.
I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen. Enter your email and OSHAid will send a reset link, valid for 30 minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam/junk folder.
Basic company details (legal name, address, EIN if you have one), your industry (so OSHAid pre-loads the right hazards), and the email addresses of any teammates you want to invite.
How do I invite my team?
Go to Settings → Team, tap the + icon, and enter each member's name, email, role, and phone. They'll get an email invite with a one-tap join link.
What's the difference between Admin, Lead, and Participant?
Admins manage the account, billing, and team. Leads can edit hazards, actions, and incidents. Participants can view content and contribute observations and photos from the field.
Which devices does OSHAid support?
OSHAid runs on iPhone (iOS 15+), Android (12+), and the OSHAid Web Console for desktop. All three sync the same data in real time.
Does OSHAid work offline?
Yes. You can run hazard assessments, log incidents, and add photos with no signal. OSHAid syncs the moment your device gets back online.
How much does OSHAid cost?
Plans start at $9.99/month for the Essential tier (1 admin, 2 leads, 10 participants). Team and Structure tiers add seats and specialty hazard packs. See the Pricing page for current rates.
How do I upgrade or change my plan?
Open Settings → Subscription → Upgrade. You can move up or down between plans at any time; new pricing is prorated against your remaining billing cycle.
How do I find my subscription invoices?
Open the App Store or Google Play, tap your profile, then Purchase History. To see older receipts, tap "Last 90 Days" and filter by date. Web Console subscriptions show invoices under Settings → Billing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage in the App Store or Google Play. You'll keep access until the end of the paid period. No cancellation fees.
Is OSHAid OSHA-compliant?
Yes. OSHAid is built around U.S. OSHA requirements for hazard assessments, written safety programs, and recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904, 1910, 1926). Records are structured, dated, and traceable, ready for any inspection or audit.
Can I use OSHAid during an OSHA inspection?
Absolutely. Pull up the assessed hazards, the corrective actions in progress, your OSHA 300/300A/301 logs, and the most recent hazard assessment report — all from your phone, on the floor.
Do the smart recommendations replace a safety professional?
No. They speed up your hazard analysis, but they don't replace your responsibility as the employer or the advice of a Certified Safety Professional, OSHA consultant, or industrial hygienist when the situation calls for it.
How do I generate an OSHA report?
From the Documents section, tap "Generate report." OSHAid produces a structured PDF with the hazard assessment, action plan, and incident log — ready to share, print, or hand to an inspector.
The app is acting up — how do I get help?
