Invite your team and manage roles

Invite your coworkers, understand the roles (administrator, safety lead, contributor) and share out responsibilities.

Why safety records are best built as a team

No one knows the hazards of a job better than the person doing it. By involving your coworkers, you get an assessment that is truer to the shop floor — and a team more engaged in prevention.

Working as a team also spreads the effort: compliance stops being one person’s project and becomes a shared endeavor.

Inviting coworkers

From your workspace, invite your coworkers by email. Each invitee receives a link to create their account and join the company workspace with the role you assigned them.

You keep full visibility over the members of your workspace at all times, and can adjust roles or revoke access.

The main types of roles

OSHAid distinguishes three main types of roles. The administrator manages the workspace: subscription, members, settings. The safety lead drives the prevention effort: they structure the assessment and track the action plan. The contributor works on the ground: they assess hazards and move forward the actions assigned to them.

Who does what?

Administrator: manages the workspace and its members. Safety lead: structures the assessment and drives the action plan. Contributor: contributes to the assessment and completes assigned actions.

Splitting the assessment and the follow-up

Every member can contribute to the hazard assessment, each within their own scope: that is the strength of teamwork. Action tracking, on the other hand, is driven by the administrator or the safety lead, who keep an overall view of the progress.

Start simple: one administrator, possibly a safety lead, and contributors in the key positions. You can refine the split as the effort matures.
